Shaft (2000) : distribution, intrigue et streaming

What it’s about. New York. Une simple altercation va entraîner l'Inspecteur John Shaft dans l'enquête la plus explosive et la plus dangeureuse de sa carrière... L'affaire commence une nuit, dans un bar de Manhattan où Shaft a été appelé à la suite d'une agression raciste. Quelques minutes après son arrivée, la victime (l'étudiant noir Trey Howard) succombe à un traumatisme crânien. La barmaid Diane Palmieri, unique témoin oculaire du drame, désigne alors discrètement à Shaft le coupable : Walter Wade Jr., un gosse de riche qui invoque avec arrogance la légitime défense et défie ouvertement le policier. Shaft arrête Wade, mais l'avocat Fleming obtient sa libération immédiate.

How it landed. With an audience score of 6.0/10, Shaft has drawn a solid, mixed-to-positive response. It went on to earn $107.6M at the box office.
