What it’s about. Victor Méchain est propriétaire du Celtic, un hôtel-restaurant/station-service en province. Sa femme ne supporte plus la vie minable qu'il lui fait mener. Elle le quitte. Pour tenter de la faire revenir, Victor participe au jeu télévisé " Le Mari Idéal " . Mais à la suite de son apparition sur le petit écran, des erreurs de jeunesse lui reviennent en pleine figure : Un casse, un meurtre, un gang de tueurs à ses trousses, une ex-future épouse abandonnée … et un fils ignoré qui entre dans sa vie d'une manière fracassante ! Après de violentes retrouvailles, le jeune homme aidera son père à sauver sa peau…
