Jim tombe amoureux d'une femme, Lucrecia, poursuivie par un tueur et se fâche avec Bill à qui il avoue l'avoir enregistré. L 'hiver venu, apprenant que Bill est malade, Jim se rendra à Lisbonne et, grâce au vieil homme, retrouvera Lucrecia et s'enfuira avec la jeune femme après avoir tué le gangster qui la menaçait...
