What it’s about. Ce documentaire captivant dépeint avec humour la révolution conduite par Thomas Sankara, ancien président du Burkina Faso. De 1983 à 1987, Sankara se bat en faveur de l'indépendance politique du pays, de son désendettement, mais aussi de l'éducation des jeunes, de l'émancipation des femmes et de l'éradication de la corruption. Cette politique intransigeante et les frasques de ce jeune, beau et brillant dirigeant font trembler le monde des puissants et s'achèvent en 1987, année de son assassinat. Depuis plus de 25 ans, Christophe Cupelin collecte inlassablement les archives écrites, sonores et audiovisuelles et réussit à travers un montage méticuleux à brosser un portrait exceptionnel de cette icône révolutionnaire.
