What it’s about. Saiva, une femme courageuse, et Anja, sa fille adoptive, vivent dans des terres isolées de toute civilisation où elles estiment être en sécurité. Saiva est la seule survivante du massacre d'une tribu d'indigènes éleveurs de rennes, par une troupe de soldats "pacificateurs". Saiva et Anja luttent pour survivre, se nourrissant des rares proies qu'elles parviennent à attraper. Un jour, en plein milieu de cette beauté rude et désolée, un homme à bout de forces apparaît à l'horizon. Malgré sa peur et ses doutes, Saiva recueille cet homme. C'est Loki, un déserteur. Loki se remet doucement, entre ces deux femmes, alors que la neige annonce déjà un hiver long et sombre. Mais, très vite, Saiva et Anja commencent à se disputer ses faveurs...
