Bangkok Dangerous (2008) : distribution, intrigue et streaming

Released in 2008, Bangkok Dangerous is an action, thriller and policier film directed by Danny Pang, running about 99 minutes. “Rien n'est plus dangereux qu'un tueur à gages qui se venge” — that tagline sets the tone.

What it’s about. Joe, un tueur professionnel sans scrupules, atterrit à Bangkok afin d'exécuter quatre contrats pour le compte d'un chef mafieux nommé Surat. Il engage Kong, un pickpocket de rues comme intermédiaire, de façon à ne laisser aucune trace derrière lui. Mais alors qu'il a toujours évolué en solitaire, Joe prend le gamin sous son aile et s'engage dans une relation sentimentale avec une vendeuse locale sourde et muette. Petit à petit, Joe est gagné par la beauté capiteuse de Bangkok, au point de remettre en question son mode de vie, son isolement et la prudence qui lui a jusque-là permis de rester en vie.

Who’s in it. Bangkok Dangerous stars Nicolas Cage as Joe, Shahkrit Yamnarm as Kong, Charlie Yeung as Fon and Panward Hemmanee as Aom, among others.

How it landed. With an audience score of 5.2/10, Bangkok Dangerous has proved divisive with audiences. It went on to earn $42.5M at the box office.
