Un basketteur naturellement doué, Noah Cruise est décidé à devenir docteur en utilisant sa bourse de basket-ball à UCLA, plutôt que de succomber à l'appât du gain et aux sirènes de la NBA comme le désirerait l'ancien agent sportif Vaughn.
