What it’s about. De nos jours dans un mas provençal. Un mari rentre chez lui à l'improviste et entend se fermer la porte d'un cabinet au moment où il pénètre dans la chambre de sa femme. Celle-ci, troublée, jure sur un crucifix qu'il n'y avait personne avec elle. Elle adjure son mari de ne pas ouvrir la porte du cabinet: tout sera fini entre eux s'il refuse d'entendre sa défense et ne trouve personne. Le mari fait alors venir un ouvrier qui mure, au milieu de la nuit, l'entrée du cabinet ...
