What it’s about. Cultivé et ambitieux, Richard est un scénariste en manque d'inspiration. Angoissé et rongé par l'alcool, l'écrivain s'embourbe dans une solitude désespérante jusqu'au jour où il rencontre un mystérieux vagabond, Jack, homme libre et charismatique qu'il décide d'héberger quelques jours... Mais à quel prix ? Omniprésent et autoritaire, Jack prend vite le pas sur un Richard déstabilisé qui oscille entre fascination et méfiance. Il lui impose d'emblée une mission très délicate : «Vous allez raconter notre histoire !». Seul lien entre deux personnages antithétiques, cet ordre de Jack instaure entre eux un pacte tacite... Mais les deux hommes se jaugent et s'affrontent psychologiquement dans un périlleux jeu de manipulation et d'intimidation. Fruit du hasard, leur rencontre les plonge dans un huis clos à l'issue très incertaine...
