What it’s about. Alexander Hollingsworth III est le fils d'un millionnaire qui a du mal à gérer sa succession. Son père décide alors de lui couper les vivres pour accélérer la recherche du successeur. Mais le jeune homme est endetté jusqu'au cou et poursuivi par l'IRS pour ses impayés. Lorsqu'un agent du FBI, Ed Smith, doit entrer dans son cercle pour obtenir des informations, il s'avère qu'Alexander côtoie le milieu criminel. C'est alors que l'agent se propose d'aider le fils richissime à régler ses problèmes financiers en échange d'une secrète collaboration…
