Dans la nuit, un homme au regard halluciné fait irruption dans sa chambre et évoque une île secrète, une plage paradisiaque, où il aurait vécu plusieurs années au sein d'une petite communauté d'esprits libres. Le lendemain, Richard retrouve une carte de l'île et le cadavre de Daffy.
