What it’s about. L'histoire se déroule dans le Grand Empire Yan, un monde régi par la force et les arts martiaux. Le protagoniste, Lin Dong, est issu d'une branche déshonorée du puissant Clan Lin.  Son père, autrefois un génie, est paralysé après un combat humiliant contre Lin Langtian, un membre du clan principal.  Marginalisé et moqué, Lin Dong mène une vie difficile jusqu'au jour où il découvre un mystérieux artefact (un serpent de cristal) qui devient sa source de pouvoir.  Cet artefact attire l'attention de nombreux clans et forces obscures, entraînant Lin Dong dans un univers martial complexe. Pour sauver sa famille et retrouver son honneur, il doit s'entraîner, faire face à des ennemis puissants et naviguer dans les intrigues politiques des grandes familles. L'animé suit son ascension, de jeune homme faible à combattant redoutable, tout en développant des liens, notamment avec Ying Huanhuan, une fille d'un autre grand clan.
