What it’s about. En 2004, Noguchi Takahiro et sa femme Naoko sont assassinés. Quatre personnes étaient présentes sur les lieux du crime : Sugishita Nozomi, son ami d'enfance Naruse Shinji, ses voisins Ando Nozomi et Nishizaki Masato. Ce dernier a avoué à la police le meurtre de Takahiro qui aurait lui-même auparavant tué sa propre épouse. Dix ans plus tard, Masato vient d'être libéré. Un policier à la retraite du nom de Takano Shigeru persuadé qu'il a couvert quelqu'un vient lui poser des questions sur l'affaire qui l'a mené en prison et notamment sur Sugishita Nozomi.
