What it’s about. Issu de l'union entre une humaine et un Yomu, Akihito est un adolescent doté d'un pouvoir de régénération lui permettant de survivre à n'importe quelle blessure. Alors qu'il marche près de son établissement scolaire, il aperçoit une jeune fille en haut du bâtiment semblant vouloir se suicider. Tandis qu'il essaie de l'en dissuader, celle-ci lui plante sans prévenir une épée en plein cœur. Ainsi fait-il la connaissance de Mirai Kuriyama, dernière héritière d'un pouvoir craint par l'ensemble des Yomu, celui de contrôler son sang et d'en faire une arme capable de tout anéantir. Toujours isolée depuis son enfance, Kuriyama est toutefois incapable de détruire les Yomu maléfiques en raison d'un incident du passé. Akihito tentera alors de lui faire surmonter son trauma en lui apportant le soutien qu'elle n'a jamais eu.
