What it’s about. Parmi les ouvrières massivement licenciées dont elle a la charge, Marithé, qui travaille dans un centre de formation pour adultes, remarque Carole, qui ne paraît guère à sa place. Elle la retrouve le soir même, en patronne du luxueux restaurant dont son mari Sam est le cuisinier inspiré. Carole la présente comme une amie du club de gym. Au fil des entretiens de formation, Marithé comprend que Carole se sert d'elle comme prétexte pour couvrir ses rendez-vous avec son amant. De son côté, Marithé n'est pas insensible au charme de Sam, en plein chantier, qui prépare l'ouverture d'un second restaurant en ville. Marithé perd peu à peu le contrôle de la situation...
