What it’s about. A Tanagura, les élites de la caste dominante, appelés Blondies, possèdent des Animaux, esclaves sexuels. Ainsi, Riki appartient à Iason, lequel est épris de son Animal provenant des bas-quartiers. Un scandale qui ébranle dans leurs fondements les règles d'Eos. Trois ans plus tard, alors que Riki se promène dans le hall de la tour des élites, les portes vers une possible liberté s'ouvrent. Il essaie de s'échapper de Tanagura, en vain. Il s'agit de son second crime, après avoir eu une relation sexuelle avec Mimea, jeune femme d'une caste supérieure. Crime de trop selon le conseil des Blondies.
