Chihayafuru (2011) : distribution, intrigue et streaming

Released in 2011, Chihayafuru is an animation and drame series.

What it’s about. Enfant, Chihaya n'aspirait qu'à voir sa sœur réaliser son rêve : devenir une idole. Cependant, en faisant la connaissance d'un de ses camarades de classe nommé Arata, cette dernière se découvre une passion pour le karuta : un jeu de cartes nécessitant de retenir des poèmes par cœur. Dans un premier temps jaloux de l'admiration que porte Chihaya à Arata, son ami d'enfance Taichi finit par accepter de former un trio pour s'entraîner au jeu. Malheureusement, un concours de circonstances leur fait choisir à chacun des chemins différents pour leurs études. Aujourd'hui lycéenne, Chihaya continue de jouer au karuta dans l'espoir de recroiser un jour la route de celui qui lui a communiqué son amour du jeu.

Who’s in it. Chihayafuru stars Asami Seto as Chihaya Ayase (voice), Mamoru Miyano as Taichi Mashima (voice), Yoshimasa Hosoya as Arata Wataya (voice) and Kenta Miyake as Hideo Harada (voice), among others.

How it landed. With an audience score of 7.6/10, Chihayafuru has been warmly received by audiences.
