What it’s about. Lionel Daudet et Isabelle Autissier renouvellent leur association pour une expédition mi-maritime, mi-montagnarde dans la péninsule Antarctique. L'équipage est formé de trois marins et trois montagnards, dont les savoir-faire sont complémentaires. Au départ d’Ushuaïa, leur but est de rejoindre des sommets qui ont rarement, ou jamais, été gravis. "Ada Dos", le bateau d'Isabelle, servira de camp de base maritime itinérant. La présence de glace, le vent, le brouillard sont autant d'obstacles qui jalonnent la voie maritime, et la voie terrestre, rendant l'accès au continent difficile et imprévisible. Les ascensions sont techniques et nécessitent une intelligence d'approche. Leur seul regret sera de ne pouvoir gravir Pierre Premier, la prise de risques étant trop grande.
