Après 11 ans d'emprisonnement, il est libéré et rentre au Japon ou il commence à se réadapter à la vie civile. Tadashi décide de ne plus jamais participer à la guerre, à la grande joie de sa famille. Au lieu de cela, il tente de prendre un nouveau départ en travaillant dans une grande société commerciale.
