What it’s about. Teum-Teum était une émission de télévision française animée par Juan Massenya diffusée sur France 5 du 19 septembre 2009 au 23 juillet 2011. Chaque mois, Juan Massenya emmène une personnalité en banlieue, un espace de rencontre et de découverte de ceux qui font la vie des quartiers. Teum teum a pour but de « s’intéresser, sans angélisme ni stigmatisation, à ceux qui font la vie des quartiers en France, toutes catégories sociales confondues... », selon son producteur Stéphane Simon. L’émission est découpée en une dizaine de rencontres successives entre la personnalité et des protagonistes du quartier. Chaque rencontre se fait dans un lieu différent : un appartement, le toit dune cité, un parking, une boucherie halal, un café.
