What it’s about. La famille Geum est en liesse : la fille de Geum San Soo, Eun Ji, se marie. Or, la cérémonie tourne au fiasco lorsque les créanciers récupèrent l’argent du mariage. Le père avait en effet contracté une dette énorme auprès de Ma Dong Po et il revient à son fils, Geum Na Ra, d’éponger ses dettes lorsqu'il disparait. Il a tout pour réussir : c’est un bon agent de change, il a une fiancée magnifique Cha Yeong. Mais lorsque les créanciers le harcèlent, c’est une véritable descente aux enfer qui commence ! Il perd tour à tour ses parents, son logement, son boulot et sa petite amie à laquelle il renonce contre de l’argent ! Devenu un sans domicile fixe, il prépare sa vengeance et se rapproche d’un célèbre usurier Dok Go Chul, le suppliant de lui apprendre les ficelles du métier.
