What it’s about. Cette émission est tout d'abord basée sur le Def Comedy Jam créé par Russell Simmons dans les années 90. Le concept et logo ont été vendu à Jamel Debbouze ( via la société Debjam). Ce dernier a ainsi recruté les meilleurs comediens du Comic Street Show (stand up joué dans des salles parisiennes), pour alimenter le concept acheté aux américains et créer avec Kader Aoun sa propre émission diffusée par Canal plus. Le but de l'émission est de servir de tremplin à de nouveaux talents comiques. Ces derniers ne disposent que d'un micro et cinq minutes chacun pour s'exprimer, sans accessoire. Ils sont quatre à se produire sur la scène lors de chaque émission.
