Ce documentaire retrace l'épopée fulgurante et intense d'un groupe de jeunes alpinistes qui, de 1973 à 1975, ont insufflé aux sommets l'esprit d'effervescence et de créativité de 1968, révolutionnant le traditionalisme de l'alpinisme piémontais et italien. C'est un parcours initiatique pour une tribu de jeunes rebelles qui, inspirés par les théories de Gian Piero Motti, ont vécu leur saison d'alpinisme comme une épreuve intérieure, certains découvrant le yoga, d'autres le cannabis, certains en proie à l'extase, d'autres à la rage. Une saison rythmée par Bob Dylan et Popol Vuh, empreinte d'une profonde insouciance.
