What it’s about. Tetsuo Nagai est agent de probation. Son travail consiste à réhabiliter les jeunes délinquants et à les remettre sur le droit chemin. Marié et père d'un fils, il mène une vie heureuse. Tout cela change un jour où sa femme est assassinée et son fils gravement blessé . Nagai se bat avec l'agresseur, mais il s'échappe. Nagai emmène son fils à l'hôpital dirigé par son beau-père, mais son fils est à nouveau agressé et laissé dans le coma. Nagai est interrogé par des inspecteurs de police et se retrouve le principal suspect en raison de l'apparition d'un certain nombre de preuves défavorables. Quelqu'un le piège-t-il ? Sur le point d'abandonner, il est frappé par une autre option : il devient un fugitif, s'efforçant de prouver son innocence et de trouver le vrai tueur pendant que son fils rôde à la porte de la mort.
