What it’s about. Kai Kudo intègre une organisation du nom de AESES avec sa sœur Hikaru qui est malade. Ils ont tous les deux la particularité d'être des E'S, des personnes avec des pouvoirs psychiques importants. Un an plus tard, Kai ayant fini sa formation se voit attribuer des missions. Lors d'une expédition militaire dans la ville voisine de Gald, la mission tourne au fiasco et Kai est grièvement blessé et inconscient. Il est sauvé par Asuka une jeune fille qui vit avec son frère adoptif Yuki. Pendant qu'il se remet de ses blessures il découvre le vrai visage de la ville d'Ashurum... Il décide d'y rester et propose à Yuki de venir travailler avec lui comme détective privé. Malheureusement Eiji de Ashurum, qui projette d'attaquer de nouveau Gald, envoie Maxime en reconnaissance, l'un de ses meilleurs agents E'S.
