What it’s about. Des scientifiques travaillant sur de nouvelles armes bactériologiques se font dérober un puissant gaz toxique. Traqué par des militaires, le voleur est finalement retrouvé mort dans un hôtel, la peau verdâtre et rongée par le mystérieux gaz volé quelques heures auparavant. Afin d’éliminer toute trace de ce projet scientifique top secret, l’Armée décide de brûler le cadavre du voleur sans savoir que les fumées dégagées dans l’air par le four crématoire allaient à leur tour contaminer les environs. Très vite, les gens peuplant les contrées avoisinantes se transforment en morts-vivants et parcourent les rues désertes des villages à la recherche de chair humaine fraîche…
