What it’s about. Tokyo 2045. Hiroshi Ozora, un jeune gringalet surdoué qui rêve de devenir un super-héros, va mettre au point une puce lui permettant d'arriver à ses fins, et devenir ainsi, Moldiver, afin de combattre le crime représenté par l'étrange Dr. Machingal et ses femmes-robots. Ce dernier est en fait un collectionneur fou de vieilles machines ou véhicules prestigieux du passé, tels une vieille formule 1, un cuirassé de la 2nde guerre mondiale ou encore la navette spatiale américaine ! Ne reculant devant aucun moyen, il met tout en oeuvre pour tenter de s'approprier ces véhicules.
