What it’s about. À son retour en Sardaigne après des études en Angleterre, Cesare, fils d'un riche propriétaire, découvre que la région vit dans la terreur à cause d'une bande de voleurs de troupeaux dirigés par un certain Marras. Le jeune homme fait échouer un raid dirigé contre le domaine de son père et Marras, pour se venger, enlève la fille de son intendant. Cesare organise alors une expédition pour faire l'assaut de la bande dans son repaire en montagne. Un affrontement meurtrier s'ensuit qui tourne à l'avantage de Cesare.
