Hélas, le shah en personne a jeté son dévolu sur la jeune fille, qui ne peut pas le repousser. Grâce à Nizam, un ancien camarade devenu grand vizir, Omar obtient un travail dans le palais du shah. Il y retrouve un autre ami, Hasani. Le shah apprécie les services d'Omar et le récompense. Un jour, une secte mystérieuse, les «Assassins», élimine le frère du souverain. Celui-ci part combattre les Byzantins...
