What it’s about. Un jour d'été, les charpentiers Guerassim et Lioubim, au lieu de construire des bains se sont mis à essayer de pêcher une énorme lotte. Mais celle-ci s'est cachée sous une souche. Nos pêcheurs malchanceux ont été rejoints par le prêtre Efim et le cocher Vassili et même le barine Andreï Andreevitch. La lotte fut enfin attrapée. Mais alors que tous contemplaient le fatal poisson, soudain la lotte a glissé des mains et a pris la clef des champs...
