What it’s about. Laurent Vaillancourt est devenu obsédé par le maintien de l'ordre, et au grand dam de son père, il entre dans la police et coupe les ponts avec son passé. Un jour sa femme le quitte pour son propre patron. En plein désarroi, Laurent retrouve son frère assassiné dans un dépotoir. Il décide alors de prendre l'enquête en main et cela le mène jusqu'à Nazareth en Arkansas, sur le territoire d'une milice extrémiste surveillée par le FBI. En tentant d'élucider l'affaire, il apprend que la police américaine le prend pour un meurtrier! Laurent devra alors prouver son innocence s'il veut pouvoir continuer son enquête sur la mort mystérieuse de son frère.
