What it’s about. Kreola arrive à Saint-Domingue pour rejoindre son mari photographe Andy. Bien qu'Andy soit initialement jaloux de Marco, qui est en ville à la recherche de sa petite amie disparue qui n'est pas revenue de Santa Domingo avec ses collègues après une escapade entre filles. Lorsque Kreola et Andy repèrent la fille disparue Iris en compagnie de leur capitaine de mer bourru et dominateur Léon, Andy suggère à Kreola de le distraire afin que Marco ait une chance de récupérer Iris. Kreola se moque de cela mais finit par tomber sous le charme de Léon. L'amie écrivaine d'Andy, Jo Ann, impute à l'atmosphère insulaire la tendance des Occidentaux puritains à rejeter leurs inhibitions. Quand Andy et Marco ne parviennent pas à libérer leurs femmes de l'influence de Léon, les choses deviennent dramatiques.
