What it’s about. Jean Meunier profite du premier mai, jour férié, pour sortir. Il décide de se rendre au stade voisin. En chemin, il rencontre un homme, perdu de vue depuis plusieurs années. Celui-ci lui doit de l'argent, il n'a pas oublié sa dette mais propose à Meunier de lui faire gagner une forte somme afin de le rembourser. Il l'entraîne bientôt dans une salle de jeux clandestine. Peu après, tous les hommes présents sur les lieux sont surpris par l'arrivée inopportune des forces de police...
