Snake Eyes (1998) : distribution, intrigue et streaming

Released in 1998, Snake Eyes is a thriller, policier and mystère film directed by Brian De Palma, running about 98 minutes. “14000 témoins, mais personne n'a rien remarqué !” — that tagline sets the tone.

What it’s about. Le palais des sports d'Atlantic City contient à peine la foule venue assister au match de l'année, où s'affrontent deux poids lourds de la boxe, le champion Lincoln Tylerdeux et son challenger José Pacifico Ruiz. Soudain des coups de feu éclatent à proximité du ring et Charles Kirkland, le secrétaire d'État à la Défense, s'effondre, mortellement blessé. L'enquête commence sous la direction de l'inspecteur Richard « Rick » Santoro, policier corrompu. Rick va s'efforcer de sauver sa réputation ainsi que celle de son ami le commandant Kevin Dunne, chargé de la sécurité du secrétaire d'État, et qui était absent au moment du drame. Rapidement, Rick est intrigué par le fait que Tyler, son boxeur favori, s'est délibérément « couché » à l'instant fatidique, facilitant ainsi le travail du tueur. Il remarque aussi une jeune femme aguicheuse, qui aurait servi à faire diversion...

Who’s in it. Snake Eyes stars Nicolas Cage as Rick Santoro, Gary Sinise as Kevin Dunne, John Heard as Gilbert Powell and Carla Gugino as Julia Costello, among others.

How it landed. With an audience score of 6.1/10, Snake Eyes has drawn a solid, mixed-to-positive response. It went on to earn $103.9M at the box office.
