Born 1967-09-19 · Nakaniikawa District, Toyama, Japan
Il est un réalisateur d’anime et animateur japonais. Il débute en travaillant sur la série culte "Dragon Ball Z", formé par le réalisateur Shigeyasu Yamauchi. En 1999, il réalise son premier film "DIGIMON ADVENTURE", un moyen-métrage d’animation qui sera distribué en salles. Anciennement employé chez Toei Animation, il le quitte pour aller travailler à Madhouse de 2005 à 2011. En 2011, il abandonne Madhouse pour fonder son propre studio d'animation, Studio Chizu. Diplômé de l’Université des beaux-arts de Kanazawa.
