Survivre à la révolution et à la guerre n'est que le début de la bataille

S'inspirant de son roman autobiographique, Marjane Satrapi a écrit et réalisé ce film d'animation qui raconte l'histoire d'une jeune Iranienne grandissant pendant la Révolution islamique. Envoyée dans un pensionnat autrichien, la précoce Marji découvre que son origine ethnique alimente les préjugés raciaux. Devenue adulte, la société iranienne la contraint à quitter à nouveau son pays pour la France, où elle espère enfin affirmer son identité culturelle dans un contexte de liberté et d'égalité bafouées.
