The funeral of the labor leader Luis Emilio Recabarren, which includes footage of Recabarren himself inside his coffin, along with scenes of the massive farewell. It features shots of the city of Santiago through which the procession traveled on its way to the General Cemetery, made up of hundreds of people, members of the Communist Party, and friends. The film culminates with the final farewell and speeches from various leaders, including Carlos Pellegrin (the film's director) on behalf of the Federation of Private Employees of Curicó; Recabarren's widow and second wife, the labor leader Teresa Flores; and numerous speeches from his party comrades. Following the 1973 military coup, the film disappeared until the German Federal Archive returned it to Chile in 2001.
