After a break of decades, Ruben Waara returns to the hometown of his youth, Hanko, on the same day when the summer paradise is shocked by a head found on the sandy beach. Ruben and Vera, the estranged police officer's daughter, set out to find out both their relationship and the mystery of the murder.
