Released in 2011, In Time is an action, thriller and science fiction film directed by Andrew Niccol, running about 109 minutes. “Time Is Power” — that tagline sets the tone.

What it’s about. In the not-too-distant future the aging gene has been switched off. To avoid overpopulation, time has become the currency and the way people pay for luxuries and necessities. The rich can live forever, while the rest try to negotiate for their immortality. A poor young man who comes into a fortune of time, though too late to help his mother from dying. He ends up on the run from a corrupt police force known as 'time keepers'.

Who’s in it. In Time stars Justin Timberlake as Will Salas, Amanda Seyfried as Sylvia Weis, Cillian Murphy as Raymond Leon and Olivia Wilde as Rachel Salas, among others.

How it landed. With an audience score of 7.0/10, In Time has been warmly received by audiences. It went on to earn $173.9M at the box office.
