Released in 2006, Reincarnation is a horror and mystery film directed by Takashi Shimizu, running about 96 minutes. “Death Is Only The Beginning.” — that tagline sets the tone.

What it’s about. Die Schauspielerin Nagisa Sugiura wird für einen Horrorfilm gecastet, der auf der wahren Geschichte eines Massakers beruht. Vor 35 Jahren ermordete ein wahnsinniger Professor elf Menschen, darunter seine eigene Frau und seine Kinder. Nagisa wird von den Geistern der Ermordeten verfolgt, weshalb sie zunehmend glaubt, eine Reinkarnation der Tochter des Professors zu sein. Auch andere erleben Visionen und finden sich am einstigen Tatort ein. Erst dann entdeckt Nagisa, dass sie nicht die Person ist für die sie sich hält.

How it landed. With an audience score of 5.9/10, Reincarnation has drawn a solid, mixed-to-positive response. It went on to earn $4.7M at the box office.
