Allí, intentaron una primera y desafiante ascensión: el espolón de Takouba, uno de los picos adyacentes a Garet El Djenoun, una montaña legendaria del macizo del Hoggar, escalada por primera vez por Roger Frison-Roche y Raymond Coche en 1935. El documental, magníficamente filmado por Jacques Ertaud, ganó el Gran Premio del Festival Internacional de Cine de Montaña de Trento en 1966.
