What it’s about. En février 1966, Pierre Mazeaud et Lucien Bérardini se rendent dans le massif de l'Atakor, dans la chaîne de montagnes du Hoggar dans le Sahara au sud de l'Algérie. Ils vont alors tenter une première ascension difficile, celle de l'éperon de la Takouba, un des sommets adjacent du Garet El Djenoun, montagne mythique du massif du Hoggar, gravie pour la première fois par Roger Frison-Roche et Raymond Coche en 1935. Le documentaire, superbement filmé par Jacques Ertaud, remportera le Grand Prix du Festival International du Film de Montagne de Trento en 1966.
