What it’s about. It is adapted from the real-life case of Zhang Baolin, a notorious gang leader in Shijiazhuang. The story centers on a shooting incident in the Fanguang Alley area of Hengzhou City. During the investigation, Deputy Chief Xu Guoqing discovers that the victim, Wu Tian, has a highly complex background. Although the police successfully arrest some members of the gang involved, the ringleader, Liu Huaqiang, remains at large. Following Wu Tian's murder, Li Li—the head of a local real estate company—is gripped by panic; she attempts to flee the dangerous area with her younger sister, Li Mei, but Li Mei refuses to leave. Meanwhile, even as the police investigation faces numerous obstacles, Liu Huaqiang continues his criminal activities and plots further offenses. Thus, an intense game of cat-and-mouse—a clash of police pursuit and vengeful retribution—unfolds across the city.
