What it’s about. Un homme voyage dans le passé pour contrarier le projet d'un savant fou qui projette de remettre l'arme atomique à l'armée allemande en 1943. En 1943, le projet militaire «Philadelphia Experiment» s'était conclu par un désastre. Son but était de soustraire un navire à la détection radar. Un seul homme a survécu à l'expérience : David Herdeg qui, à la faveur de l'incident, a fait un bond de quarante ans dans le futur. En 1994, le docteur William Mailer utilise une technologie identique, celle du vortex temporel, afin de satisfaire sa soif de pouvoir. Son objectif est d'envoyer une bombe nucléaire en 1943, pour aider l'Allemagne à triompher des Alliés et changer ainsi le cours de l'Histoire. Pour sauver l'Amérique, David Herdeg, aidé par les rebelles et leur chef, Jess, tente de retrouver le générateur temporel afin de retourner en 1943 et de déjouer les plans du docteur Mailer.
